Eastern Railway outclassed Northern Railway 2-0, dropping just four games in all, in the quarterfinals of the team championship in the 59th all-India Railways tennis championship being organised by the Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO), here on Tuesday.While Western Railway and North Frontier Railway also made the semifinals, South Central Railway and South Eastern Railway were locked 1-1 in their quarterfinal, with the decisive doubles scheduled for Wednesday.The results (quarterfinals): Western bt Southern 2-0 (Nitten Kirrtane bt T. Chandrasekaran 6-2, 6-2; Ronak Manuja bt T. Dhanasekaran 6-2, 6-2); Eastern bt Northern 2-0 (Manoj Sewa bt Sumit Choudhary 6-1, 6-3; Saurav Sukul bt Ajay Kumar 6-0, 6-0); North Frontier bt South East Central 2-1 (Tutu Thapa bt H. Paul 6-0, 6-1; Ranjit Dutta lost to Hendry Santiago 2-6, 6-4, 0-6; Tutu Thapa and Ranjit Dutta bt H. Paul and H. Santiago 6-4, 6-4); South Central v South Eastern 1-1 (P. C. Vignesh bt Dhruv Kumar 6-0, 6-0; K. H. Praveen lost to Ram Kumar 3-6, 4-6).

First round: Southern bt North Western 2-0; South Eastern bt ICF 2-1; Northern bt Chittaranjan Locomotive Works 2-0; South East Central bt RDSO 2-0.
