Title - DPR on high speed rail to be ready by December: Nirani

Bangalore  : Major Industries Minister Murgesh Nirani on Friday said the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the proposed high speed rail on Chennai-Bangalore-Mysore corridor will be ready by December this year.The project is estimated to cost Rs 150 crore a km. Except acquisition of land, the government would not invest on the project which will be taken up under the public-private partnership model.

‘GIM will go on’
The minister told mediapersons that the political upheavals in the ruling BJP would not have any bearing on the Global Investors Meet (GIM-II) slated for June 7 and June 8.“Any development in the political set up will not have impact on investors. Decisions taken by the present government will be adhered to by the next government,” the minister said.Nirani said infrastructure development will be the focus of GIM-II. A team of experts from Japan International Construction Company will give a one-hour presentation on the infrastructure development during the event, the Industries minister added.
