Title - Developmental wok by Eastern Railways dedicated to passengers

Rail Minister Suresh Prabhu dedicated six developmental work projects at different places done by Eastern Railways through video conferencing to passengers. The details for the same are given below:

  • LED Lighting of 100 stations of Eastern Railway. This will help in energy conservation.
  • 17.69 km long double line between Lebutala and Champapukur Section of Sealdah Division. This project will cost railways an approx. Rs. 137.14 crore.
  • 98.74 km long railway electrification work of Khana-Sainthia-Rampurhat section of Howrah Division with approximate cost of Rs. 145.35 crores.
  • 14.30 km long double line between Jiaganj – Cossimbazar Section of Eastern Railway’s Sealdah Division.
  • 3.40 km long double line between Azimganj Cabin and Gosaingram of Howrah Division. This will allow facilitation of coal transportation to and from Sagardighi Thermal Power Plant.
  • 3.28 km long double line between Azimganj Cabin – Poradanga of Malda Division.
