Development of Railway Stations

Five stations viz. Anand Vihar (Delhi), Bijwasan (Delhi), Chandigarh, Habibganj (Bhopal) and Shivaji Nagar (Pune) have been entrusted for redevelopment to Indian Railway Stations Development Corporation Ltd. these are planned for development with private sector participation by leveraging the commercial potential of land and air space around the station subject to techno- economic feasibility studies.

Contracts for Architectural Consultancy for four stations have been awarded and the fifth is under finalization. Tender for financial and bid advisory consultant for these stations is also under finalization.

This information was given by the Minister of State for Railways Shri Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury in written reply to a question in Lok Sabha today.
