The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers staged a demonstration here on Friday protesting against the extension of the Pallavan Express to Karaikudi. The two hour-long demonstration held near the Khadi Kraft was led by the party’s urban district president P. Parthiban. The demonstrators urged the Railway Ministry to operate the Rockfort Express from Tiruchi and expedite the doubling works. — Staff Reporter
