Title - Bansal to open anniversary celebrations

Union Railway Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal will inaugurate the 125th anniversary celebrations of the Kozhikode railway station here tomorrow. Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will preside over the function.Minister of State for Home Mullappally Ramachandran, Minister of State for Railways Kotla Jayasurya Prakash Reddy, State Ministers Aryadan Muhammed and M K Muneer, Kozhikode Mayor Prof A K Premajam and A Pradeep Kumar, MLA, would be among those present.Elaborate arrangements were in place for the successful conduct of the event, organisers today said.They said an exhibition showcasing the history and development of Indian Railways will begin tomorrow as part of the year-long celebrations.This included wooden train coaches, coaches with linking Hofman Bush technology, steam engines, diesel engines, electric engines, double ducker coaches, cranes, wagons, photographs, old railway tickets, signal lights and records.
