Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy along with Union Minister of State for Railways K H Muniyappa today flagged off four new express trains--two at Secunderabad Railway Station and the others at Hyderabad Railway Station --through Video linkage. The new trains were Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam AC Duronto Express (tri-weekly), Secunderabad-Darbhanga Express (Bi-weekly), Hyderabad-Belampally Intercity Express (daily) and Hyderabad-Ajmer (weekly). Speaking on the occasion, Mr Muniyappa said if the Andhra Pradesh government lent a helping hand to the Railways, the State will turn into number one position in the country in the next four to five years. The Union Minister thanked Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Union Railway Minister Mukul Roy for sanctioning more projects for southern states like Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. |
