Title - 26 killed as train hits bus near Jaipur

Jaipur, June 11: Twenty-six passengers of a bus were killed and 22 injured, six of them seriously, when a passenger train collided with a bus at an unmanned level crossing at about 11-25 this morning, between Phulera and Sambhar Lake, about 60 kms from here.

According to latest information at the Divisional Railway Headquarters here, 18 persons died instantaneously, one died on the way to hospital, and seven succumbed to their injuries in hospital. The passenger train was bound for Jodhpur and Phulera. The passengers of the train did not receive any injuries. Medical aid was immediately rushed to the scene of the accident from civil hospital, and Salt department hospital from Sambhar Lake. Relief trains with medical equipment and doctors have also been rushed from Phulera and Jaipur. The additional district magistrate, Jaipur, the superintendent of police, Jaipur and other local officers also rushed to the scene of accident in the morning.
