B. Satish Prabhu, Inspector, Special Intelligent Branch, Head Quarters, South Central Railway and M. Janardhan Chowdary, Inspector, Kacheguda Railway Station bagged the Indian Police Medal-2012 in appreciation of their meritorious service.B.Satish Prabhu was appointed as Sub-Inspector, Railway Protection Force in the year 1992. He played an important role in detection of the Gautami Express Sabotage case in 1995 and while on deputation with CBI he took up many high profile cases including the Passport Forgery case of Abu Salem and Monika Bedi. In his previous years of service, he was awarded two GM Awards and DG’s insignia. M.Janardhan Chowdary is working as Inspector, at Kachiguda Railway station. Previously, while worked at Anantapur as Inspector, he busted the gang of 10 drugging offenders in Karnataka Express. Further, while working at Tirupati post, he was responsible in rescuing many run away children and handing over them to their parents and destitute homes and also arrested about 1200 touts and thereby the malpractice of Railway tickets was controlled at Tirupati, said a press release from South Central Railway. |
