Title - 140 POS machines installed South Western Railway to promote cashless transaction

South Western Railway has taken big steps towards promoting cashless economy and has installed 140 POS machines in first phase at various major stations. POS machines are now available at booking offices, parcel offices and Reservation offices on the following major stations –

Hubballi, Bengaluru and Mysuru

  • At Hubballi 12 POS machines were installed at PRS counter, 20 at UTS cum PRS counter and 10 at Parcel office.
  • At Bengaluru 22 POS machines were installed at PRS counter, 32 at UTS cum PRS counter and 5 at Parcel office.
  • At Mysuru 11 POS machines were installed at PRS counter, 24 at UTS cum PRS counter and 4 at Parcel office.

Passenger can use their debit or credit cards for digital transaction at Ticket Counters, Parcel Office, Cloak Room, Food court, parking stand, Retiring Rooms, Prepaid AC waiting Hall, Tea Stalls, Fruit & Juice Centres, Catering units, Book stalls, Diary Parlour etc. on the given major stations.
