ALLAHABAD: A meeting of North Central Railway Men's Union (NCRMU) was held at the DRM office on Tuesday. The meeting was held to garner support for the railway union elections scheduled on April 25, 26 and 27.General secretary of All India Railway Men's Federation Shiv Gopal Mishra said the main issue grappling the employees is of privatisation of railways. "We are against privatisation. We have also started a campaign for seventh pay commission and end to the new pension scheme," he said. NCRMU general secretary RD Yadav said the union has always worked towards solving the problems of railway employees. We have fought for the rights of the employees and would continue to do so.Shiv Gopal Mishra informed reporters about the challenges being faced by the railways.He recalled that in the earlier election conducted in 2007, NCRMU emerged as the only recognised union in North Central Railway and claimed that feat would be repeated this year. |
