Union Minister of State for Railways, Kotla Suryaprakash Reddy, on Monday, categorically said that works relating to the development of Tirupati railway station along international standards will be taken up soon.Talking to mediapersons, he said that a high level meeting with the railway and TTD authorities is in the pipeline wherein the modalities to further gear up works will be discussed.In the meantime, he expressed his satisfaction over the works relating to the installation of escalators at the railway station.In reply to a question, he said that the possibility regarding the laying of a railway track to the sacred Tirumala shrine was also being explored. Earlier, he offered prayers to the presiding deity Lord Venkateswara. The TTD’s chairman K. Bapiraju and Executive officer L.V. Subramanyam supervised his darshan arrangements. |
