SCR’s Travel Advisory to Rail Passengers

Rail Passengers are advised not to carry inflammable / explosive materials in trains endangering the safety of Passengers and Railway Assets.Carriage of dangerous and offensive goods is prohibited under section 67 ofRailways Act-1989 and punishable under section 164 & 165 of Railways Act-1989.

Passengers who notice carriage of such inflammable / explosive materials by any co-passenger are requested to inform the same to the Guard of the train or convey over SMS Help Line No. 8121281212.

In case of genuine emergency, passengers may pull Alarm Chain and to stop the train. After pulling the alarm chain, passengers need to wait till the train is halted.It is advised that jumping from running train or getting down from a train o­n motion should not be attempted.
