Title - Rly trade union threatens strike

The national railway mazdoor union of the west central railway zone (WCR) has raised objections to the manner in which the vigilance department functions.
The employee union has also written a letter to union railway minister Pawan Kumar Bansal seeking his urgent intervention to set it right failing which they have threatened to go for agitation to protect the interest of the lower grade staff in the department.
According to union general secretary G N Kumar, the vigilance officials were harassing lower grade staff after implication them into fake cases.
The level of harassment, he said was so much that they were denied medical facilities available in the railway hospital, leave to attend marriage and other important family functions.
He said, "We have urged the railway minister to immediately look into the grievances of the employees so that they will be able to lead a dignified life".
