Title - Rail Budget 2013: Jaipur-Alwar train comes handy for daily commuters

JAIPUR: Those who daily hop on to long distance trains from Alwar, Rajgarh, Dausa and Bandikui and arrive in Jaipur for their jobs in government offices and private institutions, have got a new alternative. The railway minister has proposed a Jaipur-Alwar daily train which will accommodate them.
According to an estimate by railway officials , at least 20,000 employees from Alwar, Rajgarh , Malakhera and Bandikui come to Jaipur everyday, who work in PF office, secretariat, railways, Income Tax and other offices. Trains including Pooja Express, Jaipur-Amritsar Express and other ones on Jaipur-Delhi route bear the brunt of the heavy rush. The passengers travelling in reserved compartments in these trains either have to accommodate these passengers or a scuffle ensures between them.
"Many of these daily passengers know each other and they travel in group, often picking up a fight with others or the TTE. During our drives to nab ticketless passengers, most of the defaulters were found on the Jaipur-Alwar route. Thus this train will definitely be helpful for decongestion in other mail/express trains between Delhi and Jaipur via Alwar," said a senior officer of NWR.
Praveen Sharma, a garment businessmen who usually travels in Jaipur-Delhi route by Pooja Express in the morning and evening, said, "Even if you have a confirmed berth, they (daily commuters) will ask you to accommodate them. And if anyone ask them to leave they will enter into a confrontation. Thus, this dedicated train would be a welcome step."
RC Agarwal, GM, NWR, said, "This is a good suggestion and we will try to work out the time table for this train in a manner that it brings daily passengers to Jaipur in the morning before office hours and take them back in the evening."
