Taking strict action against errant passengers on Western Railway (WR), the government railway police (GRP) launched a special drive on Thursday. As a result of the drive, 42 commuters were caught and 32 booked under Section 156 of Indian Railway Act for travelling on the foot-board and blocking way of other commuters. Ten were released after questioning. The drive was launched at the three main stations — Andheri, Dadar and Bandra — and also focused on compartments for the handicapped. As a part of the drive, the GRP, on Friday, caught 32 passengers for causing inconvenience to others. |
