Title - Mumbai - Surat to be linked through luxury Tejas train

Railway minister Suresh Prabhu went Surat for the first time for foundation stone laying ceremonies of four projects in central Gujarat and north Gujarat. He said – as I am here for the first time so I cannot simply go back without offering a gift for Suratis.

His gift to people of Surat was Tejas – a luxury tarain from Indian Railways that will connect Surat to Mumbai. He further said –

“This train will be operated at speeds above 130kmph and will offer on – board entertainment services through television screens at back of chairs, WiFi and even a local cuisine. All these services will be provided through a single service provider to ensure accountability and customer satisfaction.”

Tejas will reach Mumbai from Surat in less than two and half hours – he added.
