The Government Railway Police, Jolarpet, have arrested two juveniles for stealing 23 inner keys on the railway track near Ambur. The inner keys on the track were found removed and buried nearby on January 12.According to Jolarpet Railway Police, the two boys – both aged 18 years – were residents of Vaniyambadi and used to collect paper, plastic items found near the railway track and sell them.The duo had removed the inner keys, which hold the track and cement concrete sleepers together, with an idea of selling them.As it had turned late in the evening, the boys realised that they would not be able to sell the keys at that time and buried them. They planned to go to the spot the next day and take the inner keys, police said.The boys, who returned the next day, fled the spot on seeing police personnel.Police said the locals told them about the movement of the two boys at the spot. On Tuesday evening, police spotted the two boys and questioned them.They confessed to having removed the inner keys without knowing its importance.They were sent to a juvenile home at Chennai.
