Title - Worms found in buttermilk dispenser at Railway Canteen

Western Railway has imposed a fine on a railway canteen situated at Palghar Railway station. The fine was imposed after worms were found in the empty glass container of a buttermilk dispenser. This came in light when a commuter went to purchase buttermilk from canteen where he found moving worms in the glass container.

Contractor of the canteen was fined Rs. 10,000 and a complaint has also been registered over the negligence of hygiene. On the other hand, railway activists alleges that Western Railway did not took strict action against the contractor and a meager fine of Rs. 10,000 was imposed.

In his complaint Praful Gawad said, "To my shock, I found small worms moving freely inside the glass container of the buttermilk dispenser. I brought it to the notice of the contractor Chandanlal Shah, who tried to ignore the matter and even went on to say to do whatever I wanted. Therefore, I complained to the station master immediately and he gave me the copy of the complaint also."
