Title - Unreserved tickets to be printed in Tamil and Malayalam over Southern Railway

With effect from  5May, the unreserved tickets generated through UTS (Unreserved Ticketing System) and also through the Automatic Ticket Vending Machines (ATVM) and Coin Operated Ticket Vending Machines (CoTVM) over Southern Railway will print tickets which will mention the originating and destination stations in trilingual format i.e. English, Hindi and the Regional Language – Tamil / Malayalam.
With the introduction of this facility, local unreserved tickets shall have the names of the originating and destination stations in three languages.This is expected to be a major convenience for unreserved passengers over Southern Railway.
Due to the multiple models of ticketing machines installed over the years in different locations, a few of the counters may still issue tickets in bilingual format which will be sorted out shortly.
