Title - Symposium held on Vigilance Awareness Week

Honest and devoted officers and employees need not to be scared of Vigilance organisation, they can work fearlessly according to rules said West-Central Railway, senior deputy general manager and chief Vigilance officer Ram Gopal while addressing a symposium organised on the occasion of Vigilance Awareness Week here on Wednesday.

Gopal further said that railway administration does not harm honest employees instead they are awarded while corrupt and idler are punished. Gopal on this occasion gave presentation in detail to prevent corruption in railway.

Deputy chief Vigilance officer Ashish Verma gave power point presentation on goods management and tender process during the meeting.

DRM Rajeev Chowdhury while addressing the symposium said all the railway officers and employees should maintain transparency in the work completed by them and before taking decisions in financial matters employees should analyse positive and negative aspects of the mater. By this way probability of any mistake in the financial matter will decrease drastically.

Divisional Rail Cultural Academy artists performed street play in the DRM office. The play was based on the poetry by Ashok Chakradhar and was directed by Sanjay Sharma on the topic ‘Action against written and non-written rules, traditions and laws of society and country are considered corruption’. Play was based on the negative aspects of such type of corruption, how to face such corruption etc.

DRM, ADRM, branch officers, Deputy Chief Vigilance Officer (Engineering) Virendra Kumar, Deputy Chief Vigilance Officer (Traffic) SN Gupta, Deputy Chief Vigilance Officer (Accounts) AP Awasthi and other rail officers and invigilators were present.

On the fourth day of the Vigilance awareness week, quiz competition for the officers and employees will be organised. Vigilance Seminar by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officers will be organised in DRM office on November 2.
