Title - SWR’s Vigilance Week inaugurated

South Western Railway will conduct various programmes including a seminar as part of its Vigilance Awareness Week, which was formally inaugurated here on Monday.U. Krishna Murthy, Senior Deputy General Manager of SWR, released posters brought out in English and Hindi by the SWR Vigilance Branch at a function held on the General Manager’s office premises. Mr. Murthy also administered the oath to officials and staff on the occasion. He announced that the awareness week would be held from Monday to November 3, under the theme ‘Transparency in public procurement’, suggested by the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) to all Union government organisations.

Mr. Murthy said that as part of the vigilance awareness week, a seminar on the same theme would be held on Tuesday at Railway Officers Club in Hubli. He said that Vice-Chancellor of the Karnatak University H.B. Walikar would deliver the keynote address.SWR General Manager Ashok Kumar Mital will preside over the function, Mr. Murthy added.
