Title - SER’s EFFORTS TO CONTROL RAMPANT ALARM CHAIN PULLING

Kolkata, 5th September, 2012:-
It has been observed that in recent times Pulling of Alarm Chain to stop trains without any valid ground has increased significantlyand this is adversely affecting punctualityof train services.
South Eastern Railway authority has taken a serious view in this regard and Railway Protection Force Personnel are scrutinizing each and every incident of Alarm Chain Pulling.
In the month of August, 2012,total number of 28 incidentsof Alarm Chain Pulling were reported inS.E.Railway’sjurisdiction. Altogether, 30 persons were arrested by RPF staff in this connection and prosecuted under section of 141 of Railway Act.
