Title - Railways hold review meet BEML calls on rail mantri

In his maiden visit to Bangalore post taking over as the Union Railway Minister, Mallikarjun Kharge conducted a review meeting with Railways and GoK officials. Subodh Jain, Member Engineering, Railway Board; GMs of South Western Railway, South Central Railway, Central Railway and the Rail Wheel Factory were present for the meet. S V Ranganath, Chief Secretary, GoK along with principal secretaries of the IDD and Revenue departments were also present for the meet  All ongoing railway projects in Karnataka were reviewed in detail. According to a SWR release, of the 27 projects in Karnataka, at an anticipated cost of Rs.22400 crores, cost for 16 are being shared by GoK.

    Dwarakanath P, CMD of PSU major, Bharat Earth Movers Ltd. met the Union Railway Minister, Mallikarjuna Kharge. The one on one meet of the BEML CMD with Kharge was regarding supply of rail coaches to the Indian Railways and the Metro. BEML is expanding its Rail and Metro business to meet the demand of the Indian Railways and upcoming Metro projects in different cities in the country.
