Badaun (UP), Oct 14 (PTI) In a brazen attempt, unidentified thieves today looted Rs 57,175 from Daftara railway station after taking the Station Master and one other employee hostage, police said.

Station Master Khecheru and booking clerk Sanjay Kumar were beaten badly during the incident which took place in the wee hours, they said.

No arrest has been made so far in this connection, they added.
