Title - In next 6 months, Ajmeri Gate of New Delhi Railway Station will get skywalk and remodeled entry roads

Within the next six months, two metro lines will directly connected to New Delhi railway station with skywalk. This will in decongesting Ajmeri Gate side of the station which suffers from excessive traffic throughout the year.

Four lakh passengers per day moves in and out from New Delhi Railway station. The Ajmeri Gate side entry is used as preferred entry by passengers as it serves as the convergence hub of DTC bus stop, Yellow Line Metro and Airport Metro.

At present passengers had to walk through traffic towards station premises. Skywalk will facilitate smooth movement of passengers. Railway will equip skywalks with escalators and stairs. With in the next  months, skywalk will be open to passengers.

Besides skywalk, entry road and circulating area are being completely remodeled to get rid of massive traffic jams and congestion during peak hours.
