Title - Entering Pune railway station becomes costlier than travelling to Lonavala

Platform ticket price at Pune Railway station has been revised from Rs 10 Rs 20. The revised price will remain effective till June 15. The new price has made entering Pune Railway station more expensive than boarding a train to a nearby station as far as Lonavala.

This sudden hike in price of platform ticket at Pune Railway station will compel passengers to purchase a local train ticket to a nearby station in place of platform ticket.

According to railway sources, the decision of such a sudden hike is the resultant of huge passenger rush on station during summer vacations.
