Title - Berth quota goes up in weekly trains for Chennai Central and other districts

Southern Railways has increased berths quota in weekly trains for enroute stations like Chidambara, Mayiladuthurai, Mannargudi, Thiruvarur; and other northern districts. This will help to provide berths to passengers travelling to Chennai, Vijayawada and Tirupati during holiday season.

According to sources berth quota in Mannargudi-Bhagat Ki Kothi Weekly Express has been increased from 141 to 285 for various enroute stations. To provide with Chennai on Mondays berths from pooled quota has been transferred to general quota.

Similarly, in Mannargudi-Tirupati Tri-weekly Express  sleeper berth quota from Central districts upto Nagpur, Ramagundam, Warangal and Itarsi has been increased from 35 to 165.
