Title - Banaswadi railway station of Bengaluru - First all women station of division

Banaswadi railway station of Bengaluru became the first all women station of the division. Union Railways Minister Piyush Goyal dedicated this station to women who will manage the entire station.

"This is the fifth all-women run railway station in the country, in which all activities at the station will be carried out by women," Mr Goyal said.

From now on all the employees on this station including booking clerk, station master, reservation clerk etc. will be women.

 Indian Railways currently employs 1 lakh women which is just 7.6 percent of the total 13 lakh workforce.
