Title - Andhra Pradesh Express catches fire in Gwalior, passengers evacuated

Railways officials were forced to evacuate passengers from four coaches of Andhra Pradesh Express after they caught fire near Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh. Near Birlanagar railway station fire was detected after which train was stopped immediately and all the passengers were evacuated.

According to Railway PRO Manoj Kumar , fire occurred after a high-tension wire fell on the train. This resulted in the blaze starting from B6 and B7 coaches and spreading in two other nearby coaches.

Delhi - Gwalior route was suspended temporarily as a precaution. There is no report of any casualty in the fire. Some passengers suffered minor injuries after they jumped from the train. Six coaches were segregated and sent to Gwalior.
