Alertness of a track man averted a massive accident and saved lives of thousands of passenger when he saw swinging railway track on Mhow-Khandwa route. Trackman informed to station about the condition of track and averted the accident.

 

According to information huge rain in area caused soil erosion between Patalpani and Kalakund railway station, due to erosion the railway track were swinging in air and Ujjain-Akola were heading towards Indore that track.

 

After the information of track man Omprakash and Ramsingh, train were returned to Patalpani station. Thought he repairing work started instantly but it will take more than 12 hours to complete.

 

“Soil erosion reported on two places whereas rock falling also reported on some places. 35 rail workers are repairing the track and it might be functional with in 12 hours”, said S.K. Saxena, Section engineer.
