Title - US team visits metro rail works

A delegation from United States led by Assistant Secretary Susan Kurland and others visited the metro rail works at Uppal and the ongoing launch of girder segments on Wednesday. Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) Managing Director N.V.S. Reddy made a presentation on the project.Earlier, Ms. Kurland also called on Chief Secretary Minnie Mathew and other senior officers to discuss the issues of mutual interest in the areas of road safety, airports and seaports development as well as the best practices of the public private partnership.The U.S. delegation included Julie Abraham, Executive Director, International Transportation and Trade, Jason Hill, Transport Specialist, Katherine Dhanani, U.S. Consul General, Hyderabad, and others.The government side was represented by Principal Secretary (Transport), Lakshmi Parthasarathi, Secretary (Infrastructure and Investments) Sunil Sharma, and others, a press release said on Wednesday.
