11.51am: Police use lathicharge and teargas shells against Osmania University students.   11.15 am: Minor stone pelting between students and security personnel at Osmania University.   11.00am: Motorcycle rally begins at Osmania University. The police, however, say there is no permission for a motorcycle rally.

The railways, reportedly on the advice of state police, have cancelled over 40 trains and all local and sub-urban train services in Hyderabad on Sunday ahead of the Telangana protest.   The South Central Railway cancelled 12 express and 25 passenger trains. Two express and five passenger trains have also been partially cancelled. In addition to this, all sub-urban train services and Multi-Modal Transport Service (MMTS) or local trains have also been cancelled.   Leaders of Joint Action Committee (JAC), Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), Communist Party of India (CPI), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and organisations of employees, teachers, students, lawyers, journalists and people from other walks of life will march from different points in the city and gather at Necklace Road to pres sfor a separate statehood.   High security arrangements are in place in the city to ensure that no untoward incident occurs due to the proposed march, which is expected to witness a huge turnout.
