Title - Take note of this to avoid weekend rush

In view of more number of people travelleing outside the city during the festive season, the police have taken following measures on Friday and Saturday to ensure smooth flow of traffic:

■ All private vehicles’ parking is banned on Dhanvanthri Road, Railway Station Road, Tank Bund Road, Platform Road and Khodays Junction on both the days

■ All buses going towards Mysore, Kodagu and Kerala will start only from Mysore Road Bus terminal

■ Buses going towards Tamil Nadu will start only from Shanthinagar Bus terminal.

■ Buses going towards Davanagere will start only from Chikka Lalbagh Bus terminal

■ Long distance parking of transport buses is restricted to Balekai Mandi, Jakkarayanakere, NGEF Terminal and New Peenya Bus terminal.

Meanwhile, passengers traveling outside the city are requested to take BMTC bus or autorickshaws to reach railway station and KSRTC Bus terminal. Also, people in the city are requested to avoid K G Road, Goods Shed Road, Seshadri Road, Subedar Chattram Road, Platform Road, Krishna Floor Mill Road between 4 pm and 11 pm on both the days, a press release from traffic police said.
