Title - Revenue earning of North Frontier Railways increased

GUWAHATI: Northeast Frontier Railway's (NFR) revenue earnings have increased between April to October 2012. The goods earning is Rs 751.94 crore during April 2012 - October 2012 compared to Rs 721.57 crore during the same period of last financial year

Chief Public Relations Officer of NFR, S.Hajong in a statement stated despite severe disruptions to train movements due to natural calamities like massive land slides, militancy and civil agitations the gross earnings of railways on originating basis during April 1 2012 to October 21, 2012 were Rs 1606.44 crore as against Rs 1508.03 crore during the same period of last financial year, registering an increase of '98.41 crore.

The total passenger earnings have gone up from Rs 509.60 crore to Rs 575.65 crore, showing an increase of Rs 66.05 crore(12.96 per cent higher). The total other coaching earnings during the financial same period has been Rs 74.49 crore compared to Rs 55.38 crore during the same period last fiscal, registering an increase of Rs.19.11 crore(34.5 per cent higher).
