Work on filling up of soil under the railway track near Boddavara Railway Station on the Kothavalasa – Kirandul line, which has been washed away during the recent flash floods, has been completed and partial restoration of track is expected to be completed by Friday. The testing and complete restoration of track is expected to take a few more days. Operation of trains will, however, be possible only after track restoration was also completed in the stretch between Tyda and Sivalingapuram, where landslips had occurred. The K-K line is the sole rail connectivity for the people of Jagdalpur and Kirandul and also for tourists going to Araku. Divisional Railway Manager Anil Kumar, Additional DRM C. Madhusudhana Rao and other senior officials are camping at Boddavara during the past few days and supervising the track restoration work. Efforts to reach on the mobile phones failed due to lack of connectivity. The K-K line is the sole rail connectivity for the people of Jagdalpur and Kirandul and also for tourists going to Araku |
