Title - Rakesh Misra appointed GM, Southern Railway

Chennai, Jan 18(PTI) Southern Railway today announced the appointment of Rakesh Misra as its new General Manager with immediate effect. Misra has held various responsibilities including Executive Director in Railway research, Chief Design Engineer in ICF and Divisional Railway, Eastern Railway, an official release here said.
In 2008, he was selected for the prestigious diplomatic assignment and held the post of Railway Advisor in Berlin for four years, it said.
Misra has undergone several training in United Kingdom, USA, Japan, Germany and has visited Russia, Brazil, South Africa, Sri Lanka for various railway related assignments, the release added.
