Railways have decided to increase surcharge levied on passengers travelling to Kumbh Melas.For the ordinary second class, the the surcharge has been revised from Rs 3 to Rs 5 while for AC first class, the same has been revised to Rs 20 from existing Rs 15.The surcharge hike will be implemented from January 1, 2013, said a senior Railway Ministry official.The surcharge will be applicable to all Kumbh Mela bound trains. |
