Title - RAIL NEWS CENTER: Railway Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal Receives Cheques of Dividend from PSUs of Rail

The Minister of Railways, Shri Pawan Kumar Bansal received cheques of dividend amounting to Rs. 372.78 crore for the year 2011-12 from six of the seven Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) functioning under the Ministry of Railways, here today. At a programme in Rail Bhawan today, Managing Directors of six PSUs namely, Container Corporation of Indian Limited (CONCOR), Indian Railway Finance Corporation (IRFC), IRCON International Limited, Railtel Corporation of India Limited (RCIL), Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) and Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) were personally present to separately handover the cheques to the Railway Minister. The Railway Board Members were also among those present on the occasion. 

The dividend amounts paid by respective PSUs are; CONCOR (Rs.135.30 crore), IRFC (Rs. 100 crore), IRCON (Rs. 93.77 crore), Railtel (Rs. 14 crore), IRCTC (Rs.9.71 crore) and RVNL (Rs. 20 crore). 

The total dividend paid by these six PSUs in the financial year 2010-11 amounted to Rs. 306.10 crore and in the financial year 2009-10 amounted to Rs 305.76 crore.
