Railways have decided to change the service pattern of Puri-Howrah-Puri Duronto Express to Shatabdi Express from February 8. The Shatabdi express, East Coat Railway(ECoR) sources here today said will stop at all major stations between Puri and Howrah and will run daily except Wednesday. As per the new schedule,the 12278 Puri-Howrah Shatabdi Express will leave Puri at 0600hrs and will arrive at Howrah at 1345hrs.

In the return direction, 12277 Howrah Puri Shatabdi Express will leave Howrah at 1425hrs and will arrive at Puri at 2210hrs. The 12278/12277 Puri-Howrah-Puri Shatabdi Express will stop at Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Jajpur-Keonjhar Road, Bhadrak, Balasore, and Kharagpur between Puri and Howrah having One First Class AC Chair Car, 11 Second Class Chair Car and two Power Generator and Guard Van in its composition. The East Coast Railway has decided to run a pair of special train between Visakhapatnam and Allahabad via Titlagarh on nominated days in view to avoid rush in regular trains towards Allahabad and to provide comfort journey to the passengers, The 08575/08576 Visakhapatnam-Allahabad-Visakhapatnam Kumbha Mela Special train will leave Visakhapatnam at 0930hrs on January 26 and January 31 and 4th, 7th, 11th, 14th, 18th, 21st and 25th February and will arrive at Allahabad at 0930hrs on the following days.

In the return direction, Allahabad-Visakhapatnam Kumbha Mela Special will leave Allahabad at 1345hrs on January 27, 1st, 5th, 8th, 12th, 15th, 19th, 22nd and 26th February and will arrive at Visakhapatnam at 1345hrs on the next days. The Kumbha Mela Special train will stop at Simhachalam, Vizianagaram, Bobbili, Parvatipuram, Rayagada, Muniguda, Kesinga, Titlagarh, Kantabanji, Khariar Road, Bagbahra, Mahasamund, Raipur, Bhatapara, Bilaspur, Pendra Road, Anuppur, Shahdol, Umaria, Katni, Maihar, Satna and Manikpur between Visakhapatnam and Allahabad.
