Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry D. Purandeswari has sought Central financial assistance for procurement of two luxury rail coaches for Visakhapatnam to Araku package tour.In a letter to Union Tourism Minister K. Chiranjeevi, she noted that refurbishing and remodelling of each of the rail coaches would cost around Rs. 2.5 crore and sought Rs. 5 crore for the two coaches. She noted that the Special Chief Secretary to the Government of AP (Tourism and Culture) has already addressed a letter to the Joint Secretary, Ministry of Tourism. | ||
