Title - Passengers suffer due to server snag at Vellore railway station

Passengers at the Arakkonam Railway Junction were stranded as the server at the station failed to function for two hours affecting the sale of train tickets in the early hours of Saturday.

The railway authorities immediately took steps to issue tickets to the passengers going to Chennai through automatic ticket vending machines while passengers bound for other destinations like Katpadi, Renigunta and Chengalpet were left in the lurch as the facility was not available for other routes.

The passengers approached the ticket counters run by the railways at Palanipet in Arakkonam where heavy crowd was witnessed there due to the computer problem in Arakkonam. However, the problem in Arakkonam did not affect the operation of trains.
