THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, January 21, 2013: Railways have made arrangements for passengers to remit the difference in fare on tickets booked in advance from Tuesday, the day on which the new train fares will come into effect.

Additional counters will be opened at Passenger Reservation Centres and at Information Centres in all major railway stations in the State for collection of the fare difference, Railways said.

In other railway stations, the passengers can pay the fare difference at the booking counters before the start of the journey.

The passengers can also pay the difference on the trains they board.
