NEW DELHI: There is a gift for women travellers travelling to work from Delhi in the Matribhoomi women Specials coaches.For greater convenience to daily commuters, northern Railway has introduced three 8-car main line Modified Electrical Multiple Units (MEMUs) plying between Delhi and Guwahati and Panipat.Some of the comforts specially designed for passengers are for the first time being introduced on northern Railway.According to northern Railway, for the first time, each coach has been provided toilets facilities along with wash basin so that passengers can use them during their journey.This will satisfy the long standing demand of commuters of provision of toilets in these coaches.These coaches are provided with cushioned seats which will give the comfort during the journey.All coaches are provided with stainless steel grab handles which provide comfort to the passengers standing and steel rakes are provided for keeping their luggage.Among additional features, all coaches of these rakes have been provided with carriage fans of 450mm sweep in place of 400mm sweep which will provide enhanced circulation of air during journey. | ||
