Title - MP’s plea on railway line doubling works

MP Rayapati Sambasiva Rao sought inclusion of the doubling of Nallapadu-Bibinagar line in the Railway Budget to be passed soon. He stressed the need to get the project going at the Railway Consultative Committee meeting held in Delhi on Tuesday, according to a press release from his office here.He has also took the pendency of doubling of the Guntur-Secunderabad (via Nadikudi) line, which merely figured in the proposals put up earlier.A promise to sanction this project was made in the 2012 budget but it remained on paper.The Guntur-Tenali line doubling and electrification projects were also highlighted by him.Mr. Sambasiva Rao wanted new trains to be introduced from Guntur to Chennai, Bangalore. He also sought a halt at Nidubrolu for Tirupati, Kakinada-Bangalore Seshadri Express, Machilipatnam-Tirupati Express, and Simhadri Express. He also demanded that the Secunderabad-Mumbai Devagiri Express be extended to Guntur via Nalgonda and Nadikudi.
