Title - Mah Kumbh Mela Special Trains 2013,Special Trains on the Ocassion of Maha Kumbh 2013

During peak days of Kumbh Mela, Northern Railway has planned to run about 33 inbound (reaching Prayag) and about 42 outbound mela specials. Each mela special comprising about 22 to 24 coaches each would be run on the peak days which would have carrying capacity of about 3000 passenger each to clear the passenger traffic smoothly. The important bathing days on which these special trains would be run include Paush Poornima, Mauni Amavasya, Basant Panchami, Eka Dashi, Maghi Poornima.  Presently, there are about 22 mail/express trains and 8 passenger trains connecting Prayag station to various stations over Indian Railway system .The mela specials are planned from Prayag Ghat to Ayodhya/Faizabad to cater to the needs of the passengers who after bath in holy Ganga go to Saryu river for bath.In addition to this, augmentation of regular trains from various serving stations like Lucknow, Varanasi will also be done on need basis.About 425 coaches are planned to be put to service for running mela specials and about 165 coaches are planned to be used for augmenting regular trains.In addition to this, additional booking counters would be opened at the stations of Prayag, Prayag Ghat and Phaphamau stations. These stations are also being given facelift for the occasion.  

Kumbh Mela Special Train announced between Ajmer and Haridwar by the Northern Railways.  

Ajmer-Haridwar Mela Special Train

The train no. 0236A Ajmer-Haridwar mela special will depart from Ajmer on 13/3,14/3, 15/3 and 16.3.2010 (4 trips) at 3.30 p.m. to reach Haridwar at 5.15 a.m. the next day. While in the return direction the 0235A Haridwar-Ajmer mela special will depart from Haridwar on 14/3, 15/3, 16/3 and 17.3.2010(4 trips) at 6.40 p.m. to reach Ajmer at 9.50 a.m. the next day.

 The 0236A/0235A Mela Special consisting of One A.C. 3 Tier, Seven sleeper class, Nine general class and two luggage cum-brake van coaches will stop at Kishanganj, Fulera, Jasalpur-Jobner, Jaipur, Gandhinagar, Dosa, Bandikui, Alwar, Rewari, Delhi and Shamli and Jawalpur Road stations enroute in both the directions.

A triweekly, super-fast special train (02393-02394) running between Patna Junction and Anand Vihar (New Delhi) since August 20 to clear rush of passengers has been provided with LHB coaches for AC1, AC2, AC3 and sleeper class to fulfil the needs of passengers.

This special train has been running on Monday, Thursday and Saturday from both ends. While it originates from Patna Junction at 8pm every Monday, Thursday and Saturday, reaching Anand Vihar terminal next day at 11.50am, it runs from Anand Vihar terminal at 6pm on these three nominated days and reaches Patna Junction the next day at 9.50am.   Bandra Terminus - Allahabad Mela Special train   Train No. 09011 Bandra Terminus - Allahabad Special train will depart from Bandra Terminus at 4.55 pm on January 7, 2013 (Monday ). It ill reach Allahabad at 3.25 am on January 9, 2013. The train will have Second Class Sleeper and Second Class General coaches.   The train  will stoppage at  Borivali, Boisar, Vapi, Valsad, Udhana, Vyara, Nandurbar, Amalner, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Pipariya, Narsinghpur, Jabalpur, Katni, Maihar, Satna & Manikpiur stations.   Surat - Allahabad Mela Special Train   Train No. 09047 Surat - Allahabad Special train will depart from Surat at 22.45 pm on Dec 31  .It will reach  at Allahabad  at 3.25 an on January 2 .The train will have Second Class Sleeper and Second Class General coaches.   The train  will stoppage at  Udhana, Vyara, Nandurbar, Amalner, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Pipariya, Narsinghpur, Jabalpur, Katni, Maihar, Satna & Manikpiur stations.
