Indore: The rail yatri sangh on Tuesday demanded more trains for better connectivity from the alternative route available via Ujjain. The sangh called upon the representative officials of the Ratlam division of western railway at Indore railway station and apprised them about the connectivity problems being faced by the daily passengers.Sangh member KK Jha said that the number of daily up downers using the train service on the Ratlam-Fatehabad track, which is closed from January 1, has nearly reduced by a half. Most of passengers are opting for bus to travel. As per the railway officials there are three trains for Ratlam on the broad gauge line from Indore. Apart from these Indore-Nagda and other connectivity trains are available from Ujjain. With little direct connectivity and those available not are matching the timing of daily up downers. Despite these efforts of railways the commuting problem has not much improved. |
