Title - IMFL found in raid at Western Railway DRM’s residence

The house and office of the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Western Railway were raided by CBI on Saturday.

During the raid a consignment of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) was seized from the residence of Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Western Railway (Ahmedabad division) Rakesh Bahal in Shahibaug. The CBI, found 21 bottles of foreign liquor and 20 bottles of beer. The CBI also found 1 kg of gold, US dollars as well as Rs80 lakh in Indian currency from his house.

According to sources, the premises were raided on the basis of a complaint received by the CBI office (Bhopal). Bahl was posted in Bhopal before he was transferred to Ahmedabad in March 2011. He was posted earlier in Jabalpur and Delhi.

During the search, Bahal complained of physical discomfort and he had to be admitted to a private hospital for medical attention. He has now been taken to Bhopal for further interrogation.
