Ludhiana: The Excise and Taxation Department today confiscated eight boxes of goods containing readymade garments worth Rs 2.40 lakh.Parminder Singh, excise and taxation officer, said the vehicle containing goods was trying to cross the barrier at the railway station by providing wrong information. “The accused has deposited penalty with the department,” he said.
