Lucknow: Azam Khan, Urban Development Minister of Uttar Pradesh has landed in trouble as railway attendants registered a case against the Samajwadi Party leader in GRP police station, Amritsar, for assaulting them.

According to the victims, Khan was travelling in an air-conditioner coach of Howrah Mail with his associates. The attendants were slapped by Khan and his other aides after they failed to provide neat and clean bedding.

The wicked attitude do not ends here, Azam and his associates made railway attendants do a rooster-bend and tortured them continuously. The attendants were threatened by Azam that arrangements must be improved when Howrah Mail passes from Uttar Pradesh.

Nirmal Murmu, attendant of AC-I of Howrah Mail, said that on Tuesday, Azam got upset when he saw the bedding. The politician asked him to change it after which Nirmal replied that all the beddings are same.

Known for his anger, Azam then slapped Nirmal. Later his aides joined him and they too assaulted all the attendants of the coach. Murmu also revealed that before landing in Rampur, the SP leader asked the attendants to do 50 sit-ups each.

As per Nirmal, he along with the other attendants apologized to Khan but his associates punched them continuously. Meanwhile, Amritsar GRP has registered the case against the politician.

However, no action has been taken against Khan as Amritsar GRP is investigating the matter in a bid to know that whether they are legally capable to take action against the leader or this case comes under the jurisdiction of Rampur GRP.

This act can damage the dignity of Azam Khan, both as a state leader and as a vice-chancellor of MA Jauhar University.
